My pricing is based on the German JVEG (Judicial Remuneration and Compensation Act), which aims to ensure that translators receive fair compensation. As a rough guide, you can expect the following rates (prices are subject to change!).
The prices include necessary brief explanations in the translation, notes on coats of arms and similar elements in official documents, as well as certification, provided they do not exceed the usual scope. I’d be happy to provide you with a specific, customized quote once I have your text. The effort required for a translation depends on several factors, such as the technical complexity of the text and its formatting—that is, whether your document is available as an editable Word file or similar, or as a PDF file or in paper form—and also whether the formatting needs to be replicated (as is the case with official documents, for example). This is, of course, significantly more time-consuming.
